Fellow American,
President Trump heard you.
This week, the President said the Department of Education may stop federal funding for school districts that teach the flawed, far-left 1619 Project’s curriculum … and you helped make that important announcement happen.
Will you join the American Principles Project to thank President Trump right now and encourage him to make this an official Department of Education policy?
Thanks to your support, the American Principles Project (APP) has helped lead the fight against the New York Times’ 1619 Project for months.
The 1619 Project is the left’s favorite new fake history program because it teaches our children to despise America, to reject our country’s principles as written in the Declaration of Independence, and to believe that our great nation is evil and not even worth preserving.
Its “curriculum” is built on a cruel and completely inaccurate premise: that America was founded to protect slavery, not to advance God-given rights and self-government.
There’s no scholar of American history who has found evidence for that outrageous claim. But that doesn’t matter to the left; they just want to undermine the American founding and everything our nation stands for -- and they don’t care how they do it.
We can see the project’s destructive effects in our streets every night, as radical left-wing activists -- many of them only recently graduated from institutions of higher “learning,” where they were steeped in exactly the kind of dogma promoted by the 1619 Project -- burn, loot, and cause havoc in an effort to “tear down” what they view as the oppressive history of America.
When told that some were referring to this unrest as the “1619 Riots,” the project’s creator replied that she was “honored.”
We’re not dealing with simple revisionist history here. The 1619 Project has tangible implications for our future -- and our present. It’s a poison pill for the next generation of young Americans, and it must be stopped!
This summer, when APP asked Americans to speak up and defend our nation’s true founding principles, people like you answered. More than 100,000 people signed APP’s petition against the 1619 Project — and rejected the false history of media elites and the radical left.
What was once the far left’s quiet plan to introduce anti-America propaganda into our classrooms became a national news story as the media was forced to pay attention to our message.
Now President Trump wants to make sure there’s no school district that can peddle this false, anti-America narrative to our children and grandchildren.
Please join APP to thank President Trump right now for taking action on the 1619 Project and encourage him to make this an official Department of Education policy.
