Democrats used to be the party of big, moonshot ideas.
We saw our elders living in poverty, so Democrats created Social Security.
Seniors and kids got sick and died without health insurance, so Democrats introduced Medicare and Medicaid.
Families lost everything in medical bankruptcy, so Democrats passed the Affordable Care Act.
Now all we see out of Washington is capitulation to Donald Trump and the extreme corporate interests rigging the game against us.

I’ve been winning tough battles like these my entire career.
At Children’s Defense Fund, I led the fight to raise the minimum wage — and won. I had to take on folks from both sides of the aisle, but we raised the wage AND indexed it to inflation.
Now, every January, the minimum wage goes up in Minnesota because we fought for it.
Over a decade ago, I started the fight to pass paid family and medical leave here in Minnesota. We organized, perfected the legislation, built our team, and when we got the right butts in the seats, we passed it.
As of this January, no family in Minnesota has to choose between a sick loved one and a paycheck.
I’ve delivered moonshot policies here in Minnesota. I’m ready to take these fights to the US Senate, but I can’t get there without your help.
