Born and raised in Oregon, Leighton enlisted in 1998 as an active-duty soldier in the U.S. Army where he served as a Medic for 12 years, an Artillery officer for eight years, and after years deployments, retired from the Army to Santa Fe, NM. Leighton is married to Dierdre, whose hometown is Santa Fe. They have a son, Chad, and daughter-in-law, Kelly who will both graduate from NMSU in 2020. Joseph C. Tiano (Joey Tiano) is running for State Senate, District 39, to protect the sanctity of life and the Second Amendment as a Constitutional Conservative. My name is Randy Ryan and I am running to represent my fellow New Mexican’s in New Mexico District 69 as your State Representative. I am excited and honored to represent you in the State Legislature and would greatly appreciate your support and vote in 2020. I grew up on a farm in Iowa and moved to New Mexico in 1967. I was in and out of the state until 1978 when I graduated from a police academy in California and decided to come back to New Mexico where I graduated from a New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy. Since then, I’ve carried a badge of one kind or another for 33 years. I am still a NM DPS Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor and work with the local agencies.
