I’ll be blunt: The U.S. Senate majority runs through Texas, and we are
being outspent 7 to 1 by Ken Paxton’s billionaire mega-donors and their
dark money super PACs.

If we don’t fight back, then there’s a real chance that Paxton and his
super PACs will drown our message out. We need a huge fundraising day
today to catch up before our official FEC deadline and overcome the dark
money attacks.

Look, I wish I didn’t have to ask you for money. It’s my least favorite
part about running for office.

But there’s simply no way to run a campaign for U.S. Senate in Texas
without massive resources, and I refuse to accept corporate PAC money or
beg billionaire mega-donors who expect favors in return.

This race is a clear example of how Big Money has corrupted our politics.
The cavalry is coming in big for Ken Paxton — $85 million in outside
spending in September alone.

So we have to raise significantly more than we budget to avoid being
drowned out before early voting begins.
