TRUMP’S BIG IRAN DECISION
President Trump says he has a big decision to make on Iran.
“I have a big decision coming up. Do I want to go in and annihilate
them or do I not?” he told Axios. “It’s a big decision. Anything
could happen with me.”
Trump’s candid assessment came one day after he revealed that
Iranian officials have reached out to Washington “directly”
because they “very much” want to make a deal to end the war.
While it’s not exactly clear what happens next, it is clear that
Trump’s pressure campaign on Iran — including locking down the
Strait of Hormuz and crushing economic sanctions — is working.
Don’t expect any major developments until Trump meets with Gulf
allies at next week’s U.N. General Assembly meeting.
DEMOCRATS CAVE TO TRUMP
Democrats had no choice but to cave to President Trump.
This week, nearly 140 House Democrats — including Leader Hakeem
Jeffries — joined every Republican to make Trump’s National Fraud
Enforcement Division permanent, a 352-72 rout.
The DOJ division was created in January to target “fraud affecting
the federal government, federally funded programs, and private
citizens.”
Vice President Vance and other top administration officials have been
cracking down on fraud all year, uncovering tens of billions of
dollars in fraudulent schemes and bringing bad actors to justice.

‘ACTIVISTS’ IN THE JURY ROOM
The lone Lindsay Clancy jury holdout is finally telling his side of
the story.
That juror — a black conservative Christian — revealed in a new
interview that the majority of the Clancy jury was prepared to acquit
Clancy “from day one,” describing them as “activists.”
His story essentially confirms what one of those other jurors has said
publicly.
Juror Paula Devlin, for example, admitted in a CBS interview that she
and other jurors saw the case as a “turning point” to force change
“to make it better for other women.”
But, of course, a jury is supposed to weigh evidence — not launch a
social movement.
TRUMP’S NOT PLAYING GAMES
President Trump is working hard to keep American allies in check.
On Wednesday, European Union chief Ursula von der Leyen invited Canada
to become the EU’s first “associate member,” a move that Trump
views as an act of aggression against Washington.
“I think it’s laughable,” Trump responded. “Canada has been a
terrible trade partner.”
“If I think it’s at all a hostile act, I will put very serious
tariffs or stop trading with Europe on many things.”
Canada was seeking leverage in their trade war with Trump. Clearly,
they just made things worse.
WHITE HOUSE TORCHES U.N.
The Trump administration isn’t taking the bait.
On Thursday, the White House forcefully condemned a new U.N. Human
Rights Council report that accused the U.S. of committing war crimes
in Iran and demanded the U.S. pay “full reparations.”
“The UN Human Rights Council has accomplished nothing for human
rights while spouting unserious nonsense for decades,” White House
spokeswoman Anna Kelly said.
“The only party in this conflict that has committed war crimes is
the Iranian regime.”
