 Dear John,
This year, as CPRE celebrates 100 years of standing up for the countryside, we’re also celebrating the people, projects and ideas helping the countryside and its communities thrive. One of the ways we’re doing this is through our CPRE Centenary National Awards.
We received more than 140 nominations, across six categories, and now we’re excited to introduce our shortlist. From teenage filmmakers to community-owned housing, the shortlisted people and projects are finding practical and inspiring solutions to some of the challenges facing the countryside today.
The six award categories are:
Best housing solution
Best rooftop solar solution
Best green space project
Best access to the countryside project
Countryside changemaker
Young countryside changemaker
The winners will be announced at our Centenary Awards celebration at the Houses of Parliament on 29 October, when we’ll also present a special Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising an outstanding contribution to the countryside over a lifetime of work.
In the meantime, we hope you’ll take a moment to discover the inspiring people and projects on this year’s shortlist.
Thank you for celebrating with us.
Best wishes,
Amy Everard
