On September 11th 2001, our country experienced one of the saddest events in American history. Our hearts remain with the victims, family members, first responders and others who were affected by the tragedies in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Even though our spirits were broken on that day, Americans from all walks of life came together to comfort one another, demonstrating our resilience as a people and as a nation.

 

 

Today, I hope you can take a moment to honor and remember those lost 19 years ago and also remember that as Americans we have faced seemingly insurmountable challenges, but our commitment to one another and our values as Americans have always helped us triumph.
