Team—

Yesterday, the Center for Reproductive Rights filed a groundbreaking new case challenging Oklahoma abortion bans. [[link removed]]

I am the co-lead attorney in this case, fighting on behalf of patients who were denied abortion care after receiving fatal fetal diagnoses. Our plaintiffs received the news that their pregnancies were not going to result in a child they could take home. What they needed in that moment was urgent, compassionate care. Instead, the state of Oklahoma kicked them when they were down.

We are arguing that these Oklahoma abortion bans violate the rights to life and liberty of pregnant people who receive a fatal fetal diagnosis. We're seeking relief for those families so that what happened to our plaintiffs doesn't happen again — to them or to anyone else in Oklahoma. These laws are cruel and unjust and we're spearheading the legal fight. [[link removed]]

Fight Back [[link removed]]

Joining our case are two physicians who have witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of Oklahoma's abortion bans. Despite their training and expertise, they are unable to provide this basic medical care to their patients without fear of criminal and civil penalties.

There is no excuse for the cruelty of denying care to families facing tragedy and heartbreak. We're fighting to restore reproductive care for as many Oklahomans as possible and we'll continue that fight for as long as it takes. [[link removed]]

Our team will share updates as this case proceeds. For now, thank you for staying engaged and fighting by our side. Your support makes our legal work possible. [[link removed]]
