Dear John,
Today we remember those lost in the attacks on our nation, 19 years ago to this date.
We honor the thousands of innocent lives lost and thank the thousands more first responders who risked their own lives to help with recovery efforts.
That day, and every day since then, is a testament to American fortitude. America is a strong and great nation. Today is a reminder to reach out to our loved ones, reflect on the many blessings in our lives and assert our pride in being Americans.
Thank you for giving me the honor of fighting for the same values and Americans that came under attack 19 years ago.
Though our nation has healed, we will never forget.
