Arizona has the fourth-highest incarceration rate in the country and Maricopa County has especially felt the consequences of an unjust legal system under the racist, anti-immigrant tirade of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
Julie has a real chance at bringing justice and critical reform to her community. But her team is relying on grassroots donors like you to fuel their campaign for bold, structural change.

Julie is running for Maricopa County Attorney because she believes the people of Maricopa County deserve a criminal justice system that is smart, fair and tough.
As a former Professor of Law, a current solo practitioner, a mother of three and former prosecutor – Julie understands how complex our criminal justice system is and how important it is to have someone with a diverse set of experiences to tackle the problems within the County Attorney’s office and in Maricopa County.
Electing leaders like Julie is ESSENTIAL if we want to transform our criminal justice systems and end mass incarceration in our communities. It would especially send a loud message that the people are hungry for real change if we elect a progressive reformer in Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s home county.
But we’re going to be honest with you, John. There are more outside groups than ever pouring money into District Attorney races. We’re going to need serious grassroots support if we want to put Julie in a strong position to pull this off.
