Dear , I, like so many others, remember it like it was yesterday. Nineteen years ago, our nation changed forever after hijacked airplanes crashed into the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, and a field in Pennsylvania -- piercing the soul of our nation. I also remember how America came together to get through the 2,977 deaths that day. How our first responders rushed to the scene to help recover those who could be saved. How, for a moment, we collectively took a breath and held each other close. Our politics is more divided than ever, and I’m not saying getting rid of Louie Gohmert and Trump will bring us back to a time when we joined as a nation and worked through tragedies, together. But I hope one day we can end partisan bickering and all work together towards building the best version of America we can. I hope you take a moment today to reflect on the lives lost on September 11, 2001. And as always, thanks for your support. Hank Gilbert |
I’m running for Congress because I believe we need a Congressman who will bring a good dose of East Texas values to the halls of Congress. When I’m elected to Congress, I’ll fight for enhanced funding for rural healthcare, massive student loan reform, and economic policies that make sense for East Texas. - Hank |
