Hi there,
Nineteen years ago, Americans watched in horror as our nation was attacked.
Even as the years have passed, the grief of September 11, 2001 still feels fresh, and those we lost are living on in our memories.
Terrorists seek to strike fear and division into our hearts. Instead, the days and weeks after 9/11 showed the indomitable spirit of the American people — and our refusal to let dark triumph over light.
In the wake of 9/11, we learned the powerful ways in which grief can drive us to support our neighbors and work towards a better world.
This year, our country has seen tremendous tragedy, with so many of our loved ones taken from us before their time.
I know that together, we can triumph over the challenges we face — and emerge with the determination to build a better future.
All my best,
Ben Ray Luján
