Dear John,

239 years ago today, something extraordinary happened.

39 men signed their names to a document built on a remarkable idea:

Government exists to protect the freedoms of We the People.

Today, on Constitution Day, we celebrate the freedoms they helped secure—and remember that preserving them is now our responsibility.

And among our most fundamental freedoms is the right to live according to our faith.

It’s the freedom that defines America.

The freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution only matter if ordinary Americans are free to live them.

They matter to a high-school football coach who lost his job after taking a knee in quiet prayer.

To a postal carrier pushed out of the job he loved because he sought to honor the Sabbath.

And to a pastor who was criminally charged after opening his church doors to people who needed a warm place to go.

Different people. Different professions. Different circumstances.

But they had one thing in common.

When their faith was challenged, they stayed true to what they believed.

And because faithful supporters like you were there for them, they didn’t have to stand alone.

That’s what defending the Constitution looks like.

Sometimes, defending it means standing beside an employee who lost her job.

Sometimes, it means standing beside a student who had her financial aid revoked.

And sometimes, it means fighting all the way to the United States Supreme Court.

John, today you have an opportunity to stand for the freedoms our Constitution guarantees.

Your North Texas Giving Day gift will be doubled through our $100,000 Matching Grant, helping First Liberty stand beside Americans whose constitutional freedoms are threatened.

And your gift can go even farther through the North Texas Giving Day bonus pool.

Because you give, ordinary Americans can stand firm when their right to live out their faith is threatened.

And on this Constitution Day, there may be no better way to celebrate our freedoms than by helping defend them.

To make your biggest impact, you must give by midnight tonight.

Yes, I’ll Double My Impact Now! »

Grateful for you,

Kelly
