That’s the get-in price for a ticket to the Knicks’ season opener on Oct. 20 against the 76ers, [according to TicketData]([link removed]). Single-game tickets officially went on sale to the general public Wednesday after being offered to Knicks Fan First members on Monday and Tuesday. New York won its first NBA championship in 53 years last season, defeating the Spurs in five games. With most of the team returning (minus backup center Mitchell Robinson), the Knicks enter the 2026–27 season as co-favorites with Philadelphia to win the Eastern Conference. The Sixers had a busy offseason, trading for Jaylen Brown and signing LeBron James via free agency.  

The current ticket price for the game, which will be ring night for the champs, is higher than any regular-season game last year and all but two playoff games: [Games 3 and 4]([link removed]) of the NBA Finals, with get-in prices of $6,728 and $3,406, respectively. However, the asking price _has_ dropped.
