Elon Musk isn't done meddling with elections. He's popped up a slick new "votesafe" website with an unsuspecting ".org" address. He's paying to promote it to millions of your fellow Americans. It's really just a cover for a sophisticated digital surveillance machine.
Every state in the country has a website that will help you handle your registration in a safe and secure manner. Vote.gov, which is run by the Election Assistance Commission (EAC), does not ask for your personal information or track your activities. Elon's site is run by America PAC, Elon’s super PAC. Here's what his site collects: |
This is why you need to warn your friends and family off from Elon's site. He's using an aggressive advertising campaign to push swing state voters to his site in order to collect their data and sell it to campaigns.
According to that site's privacy policy, this includes selling information about “whether you are registered to vote” and “how you submit your vote… where permitted by law.” In addition to selling your personal information, America PAC can also sell “inferences” it makes from the information it collects including “psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities and aptitude.” The “business partners” can then disclose your information to other parties. Oh, and if you use that site, you also agree to receive calls and texts, not only from Musk's America PAC, but also from “related entities as well as third parties.”
That's where we at Voter Action Project come in -- if you need to know anything about how you can vote in the upcoming election, our voter tools are for you. You can verify your registration, find out where to vote, get elections reminders, and register if someone hasn't yet. And we'll never sell your personal data, not to anyone ever.

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
Your support is crucial to our efforts. Will you donate today to help us protect voting rights? |
