*New grants and payment management systems coming on October 15 [ [link removed] ]*

Beginning on October 15, 2020, the Department of Justices (DOJs) grant making componentsthe Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office), and Office on Violence Against Women (OVW)will transition to a unified grants management system and a new payment management system. The Justice Grants System (JustGrants) will replace OJP and OVWs current Grants Management System (GMS) as well as the NexGen system used by the COPS Office. Additionally, all three grant making components will transition from the Grants Payment Request System (GPRS) to the Department of the Treasurys Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP) system.

*JustGrants Entity Onboarding is Underway*

Entity Onboarding for the Justice Grants System (JustGrants) began on August 31. Dissemination of Entity User Onboarding enrollment invitations will continue on a rolling basis until all DOJ recipient organizations are reached. Your entitys SAM E-Business Point of Contact (E-Biz POC)will receive an email with onboarding instructions. The email will come from DOJs secure user management systemthe Digital Identity and Access Management Directory (DIAMD)and will display as [email protected]. Please note, this email address is only used for email dissemination and the inbox is not monitored.

*Have You Registered With ASAP?*

ASAP enrollment started on July 1, and all invitations to enroll have been sent to Entity Administrators. Once you receive your enrollment invitation, we encourage you to register with ASAP as soon as possible to avoid any delays in payment as we transition to the new systems.

DOJ will discontinue the use of its current grants management and payment request systems, including GMS, NexGen, and GPRS, on September 22, 2020. Data for all current active awards from GMS and NexGen will be migrated to JustGrants. This will include all open, active awards and any awards that have not yet reached final closure. Once migrated, all award management activities will take place in JustGrants starting October 15, 2020. *During the migration period between September 23 and October 14, 2020, no transactions will take place in GMS, NexGen, or GPRS. Grantees will not have access to their grants during this time period.Please ensure you have resolved any time sensitive matters prior to September 22.*
