Mark retired from the Navy 15 years ago, after Gabby was shot.
He thought his time in public service was over until Donald Trump became president. By 2019, Mark knew he couldn’t sit on the sidelines anymore. He ran for Senate and won his first campaign in 2020. Then he had to turn around and run again for a full term in 2022, and he won that race, too.
And late last year, after a lifetime of service, the Trump Administration came after him.
For speaking the truth and supporting the Constitution, the President of the United States said Mark should be hanged. The Secretary of Defense threatened him with court-martial, censured him, and is trying to reduce his retirement rank and pay.
