CDC Revamps System for Counting Measles Deaths, as Pennsylvania Reports Fourth ‘Measles-Associated’ Death

The federal government has revised how it counts measles deaths in response to ongoing questions over whether three recent deaths reported in Pennsylvania as “measles-associated” were actually caused by measles. Meanwhile, Pennsylvania today announced a fourth measles-related death in Mifflin County. The county coroner said the 18-year-old died “due to complications of measles.”
