Love2Ride webinar

On Thursday 17 September at 12-1pm, Love to Ride and Ridewise will be hosting an Urban Cycling Skills webinar.

This is a great opportunity for regular and new cyclists to build confidence cycling in built up areas. Qualified cycling instructors will be on hand to provide tips and answer questions, and there’ll be information on how employers can get funding to help staff cycle to work.

Nottingham Bike Aid pop up cycle hub

Free Dr Bike and Cycle Training for job seekers and key workers in Nottingham at Victoria Embankment this Tuesday 15 September, and Lenton Abbey Park on Thursday 17 September. 

Build your confidence cycling on the roads with cycle training from qualified RideWise UK cycle instructors, and get your bike checked over and minor repairs done for free by Nottingham Bikeworks.

  • While the travel centre in Victoria Bus Station is open most services are available online. Please use online services when you can as the travel centre is experiencing high demand.

Suspension of parking along Cobden Street to Stanfield Street junction on both sides due to demolition and redevelopment of old martial arts centre.

Two way lights outside Simply Cartons while a new telecoms pole is installed.

Thursday 10 September - Friday 25 September: Eaton Street (Porchester)
Suspension of parking from rear of no.9 towards Woodborough Road on both sides due to new electrical supply placing.

Friday 11 September: Peel Street (Arboretum)
Road closure and no stopping at the junction with North Sherwood Street for manhole replacement works.

Friday 11 September: St Nicholas Street (City Centre)
Road closure and no stopping outside the Royal Children for manhole replacement works.

Friday 11 September - Tuesday 15 September: Heatherley Drive (Basford)
Lane closure at the junction with Valley Road for urgent repairs to a water leak.

Sunday 13 September: Derby Road (City Centre)
Suspension of three parking bays between no.80-84 for new gas connection works.

Monday 14 September: Eastdale Road (Bakersfield)
Road closure and no stopping for manhole replacement works.

Wednesday 16 September: Bells Lane (Cinderhill)
Road closure and no stopping at the junction of Harpenden Square for manhole replacement works.

Wednesday 16 September: Grangewood Road (Wollaton)
Road closure and no stopping outside no.98 for manhole replacement works.

Wednesday 16 September: Highurst Street (Lenton)
Road closure and no stopping at the junction with Denman Street East for manhole replacement works.

Wednesday 16 September: Hucknall Road (Old Basford)
Road closure and no stopping at the junction with South Road for manhole replacement works.

Wednesday 16 September - Friday 18 September: Derby Road & Upper College Street (City Centre)
Suspension of parking around Ropewalk Court to allow a cherry picker to carry out fire risk survey.


Highways England Clifton Bridge repairs

Highways England is continuing to carry out works to repair and strengthen the A52 Clifton Bridge.
