Dear John –

Today marks the 19th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. It is a day in our nation’s history that we will never forget.

Today, I reflect on the sense of community that swept our nation in the days and weeks that followed. We immediately and instinctively banded together as Americans. We came together to help and support each other, without hesitation and without qualification.

At a time when it may feel like we are more divided than ever, I still believe that we can and will once again come together as Americans to create a better future for our great country.

Please join me in taking a moment to honor those who lost their lives in New York, Washington, Virginia, and Pennsylvania on that day, and to honor the first responders who courageously did all they could. My thoughts and prayers will be with these families.

– Jahana
