Dear Friend — Did you know that each person counted in the 2020 Census brings $2,291 of federal funding back to our community?

The census is every 10 years and we were at a severe disadvantage in 2010 while we struggled to rebuild our communities. Now is our chance to re-claim some of those federal dollars that we so desperately need.

The census takes 10 minutes or less to complete online! When you click this link you will need to know the following information to complete the census:

Your address;
Your phone number;
Name, DOB, gender and racial makeup of each person living in your home on April 1, 2020 (regardless of age i.e. count the babies!);
The type of home it is (house, apartment, mobile home);
Relation of each person to the head of household filling out the form (you)
It will NOT ask for your social security number or if you are a citizen

The deadline is now September 30th!

Your 10 minutes can have a huge impact on the federal funding NOLA receives for programs connected to:

Housing (including Section 8)
Education (including HeadStart)
Infrastructure (including bridges and highways)
Public Safety (FEMA)
Healthcare (including Medicare and Medicaid)
