The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) has immediate plans to demolish and privatize William Mead homes, a longstanding public housing complex near Chinatown. Calls for decommodified social housing are stronger than ever and we believe HACLA should be expanding their supply of public housing, not privatizing it.
