My opponent went up on television last week.

It is full of lies and deception just like you would expect from him.

National Democrats put this race on their list of top seats to flip. The Cook
Political Report moved us out of the safe column. The money followed, the way
it always does. And now it's buying airtime in southern Minnesota.

Here's the part that matters: television doesn't care who's right. It only
cares if the checks cash. An ad that runs unanswered for weeks becomes what
people believe — not because it's true, but because it was the only thing they
heard.

I won't let that happen to this district. But I can't answer him with hope and
grit alone.
