Radically Honest Conversations:
Thinking Boldly about the Right to Vote and the Constitution

Thursday, September 17 at 4:00 pm ET

--

For two decades, Advancement Project National Office has championed an affirmative and explicit right to vote.

The lack of an affirmative right to vote in our Constitution is tied to the history of racism in America, as the founders compromised on this right to accommodate slave states. Hundreds of years after the founding of this country we are still fighting this original sin.

In the midst of preparing for an incredibly important and monumental election, enshrining the affirmative and explicit right to  in the U.S. Constitution is how we will continue to build power in communities of color.

On Constitution Day, join our Executive Director, Judith Browne Dianis, as she participates in this "Radically Honest" panel on the right to vote.

Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the Constitution on September 17, 1787. We know that the right to vote for people of color was not even considered then, and that it is past time to ensure a free and safe democracy, where every vote counts.
