I just got off the phone with my campaign manager, Ben, who gave me an update on where we stand ahead of tonight's midnight fundraising deadline.
I'll be honest with you: it wasn't the news I was hoping for. We are still falling short of our $50,000 goal.
I’ll say more in a moment, but first, will you chip in $10, $25, or whatever works for you before midnight to help us close this gap before midnight?
When our numbers go public, Trump's MAGA allies and the GOP super PACs already pouring millions into attack ads against me will be watching closely. If we miss our goal and show weakness, they will double down to try to buy this seat.
We can't let that happen. Not when this race is an absolute toss-up. New polling shows I am tied 43-43 with my Republican opponent, and 15% of voters are still undecided.
They're coming after us because they know I've spent my career as the People's Lawyer taking on powerful interests that put profits and power ahead of people. They want an Attorney General who will look the other way—and they are prepared to spend whatever it takes to defeat us.
We need to prove right now that our grassroots team has the strength to fight back. We need the resources to answer their lies, put our own record on TV, and reach the voters who will decide this election.
