I'm writing today to thank you for helping make August another banner month for our campaign.

Your votes helped us win the progressive primary debate, and with more than 1,500 new donations, we are on track to reach our goal of 5,000 unique donors early.

What really blows me away is who is giving. Along with plenty of software developers and engineers, firefighters, nurses, students, attorneys, line cooks, musicians, cashiers, doctors, teachers, and trucker drivers, it is unemployed folks who are really making a difference. One in four of our average $25 online donations in August came from folks who are not working.

Your generosity and selflessness bolsters my commitment to the systematic change our nation is crying for. We need Medicare-for-All, a federal job guarantee, and the Green New Deal. It's time to leave behind the corrupting influence of the fossil fuel industry, the insurance industry, and the weapons manufacturers. It's time to take our Congress back for the people.
