Hey, it's Monday morning. You deserve a nice, peaceful start to the week. Which is why I hate to bother you about my campaign finance worries, but the stakes are so high that I’m forcing myself to do it anyway.

That's what's between my campaign and our mid-month fundraising target. Here’s why this gap matters:

1. Vote-by-mail ballots start going out in Illinois this month . For a lot of IL-06, Election Day starts well before November.

2. We have fewer than 50 days to knock doors, run ads, and turn out voters.

3. A dollar today buys TV ad space at September prices, before costs rise in October.

4. My FEC end-of-quarter deadline is September 30th. After that, everyone will be able to see exactly how much money we raised this quarter, including national Republicans deciding where to point their MAGA machine.
