Like Gina, I was born and raised in South Texas. I am a proud Texan through and through. But the Texas that Gina and I grew up in is simply not the Texas our families are living in today.
We were raised on the American Dream. The core belief that if you work hard, you can buy a home, raise a family, build a career, and live with security. But under Greg Abbott's leadership, that promise has been stripped away.
Because of Greg Abbott, everyday families are stuck paying more and getting less. From his no-bid contracts to his public school voucher scam and massive corporate tax giveaways for his ultra-wealthy friends, hard-working Texans are the ones stuck paying the bill.
Texans deserve better. We pay for strong public schools, reliable infrastructure, and lower costs, and it is time we actually get what we deserve. And I know that if we elect Gina this fall, we can make Texas a state where everyone can prosper.
