For the last couple of weeks, we’ve made waves with our new town hall series, Transform the White House. And John, the support and advocacy from trans people across the country in response has been tremendous. For the first time in history, trans issues are among the most frequently-discussed topics on the campaign trail—and even in the debates.

Countless people around the country are declaring that it’s time for a change. It’s time we have a president who believes in trans equality.

As a valued supporter of the NCTE Action Fund, I’m excited to bring you early access to the next video in our Transform the White House interview series: Sec. Julián Castro. Sec. Castro is one of the presidential candidates who has talked about transgender people and trans issues often on the campaign trail, and I hope you find his answers as illuminating as I did.
