Today:
- Eliminate fact-checking exemptions for politicians, especially concerning voting
September 14th:
- Add authoritative information to all voting-related posts, in addition to fact-checking labels for misleading or false information about voting
- Start alerting users retroactively if they’ve been exposed to false info about voting or results and correct the record
October 1st:
- Share information about likely timeline for election results
- Let election directors and appropriate NGOs promote credible information and flag misleading content
- Promote legitimate voter hotlines and their partner organizations
October 20th:
- Apply the highest transparency standards to all ads, not just political ones
- Place a freeze on new advertisers until post-election
November 3rd (after polls close):
-Pre-screen posts from high-reach accounts and block those that would incite violence before they publish
January 20th:
- Arrive peacefully at Inauguration Day, with full confidence in the integrity of our election and its results
