Trump’s approval rating just hit a record low 33% according to the gold standard presidential approval pollster Reuters/Ipsos. (His approval in Colorado is only 31%.)

That’s why the Democrat taking on Boebert in November, retired Navy Rear Admiral Eileen Laubacher, is surging right now—she is like so many of the voters that plan to come out in November: a fed up former Republican who has had enough of the chaos. 

Colorado Turnout Project’s field team has been on the ground since May knocking doors and talking with swing voters about the midterm election. And what we’ve been hearing has sent chills down our spines: 

Voters in key battlegrounds like Douglas County and Adams County are DONE with Republicans. Even Trump 2024 voters have said they will not support Lauren Boebert, who they see as ineffective and incompetent.

The farmers and ranchers that make up the backbone of the 4th District are so pissed off, our canvassers have had to stop mentioning Boebert’s name altogether. 

We’ve never seen anything like this before—not even in 2022, when Boebert barely won re-election by 546 votes. The depth of voters’ anger and resentment toward the destructive policies that Boebert rubber stamps is unmatched. 

We’re going to keep this simple: Colorado voters are ready to make history. We can pull off one of the biggest and most consequential upsets in recent memory if we keep investing in our work right now.
