The Council’s Immigration Justice Campaign is ready to serve thousands in detention—but we can't do it without your support.

Dear John,

In the middle of a pandemic, immigration enforcement is continuing to tear thousands of people from their homes and families. These people will then be detained in life-threatening conditions.

And nearly 9 in 10 of those detained won't have an attorney according to our research.

This is why the Immigration Justice Campaign—the Council’s initiative with the American Immigration Lawyers Association—matters more than ever.

Will you make a gift to help us train lawyers everywhere to stand up with those detained in the courtroom?

Your gift will:

  • Prepare hundreds of volunteers to defend migrants in the courtroom. In 2020, we’ve placed 370 volunteers in cases.
  • Train additional translators. In 2020, the Campaign has provided 31 migrants with translation/interpretation services for those navigating the complex immigration system.
  • Activate thousands of volunteers across the country. This year alone, 4,006 of our volunteers defended detained immigrants and asylum seekers through Campaign advocacy.

Detained people face an immigration system that is focused on removing as many people as possible without due process.

ut with your support, we can preserve justice for all—regardless of immigration status.

Thank you,
