Once again, in a case that has chilling echoes of Charlie Gard and Alfie Evans, UK doctors have taken the decision to end the life of a child against her parents' wishes. But next Monday, September 9th, a hearing will take place at the UK High Court to decide whether to release Tafida for treatment or to end her life.
Dear John,
Little Tafida Raqeeb is just five years old and up until February 2019 was perfectly healthy. Six months ago she lapsed into unconsciousness following a brain bleed and resulting respiratory and cardiac arrest, caused by an undiagnosed, yet perfectly treatable, anomaly.
Tafida's parents were told to prepare for the worst, yet she survived gruelling brain surgery. After the surgery, the medical team responsible for Tafida seemed to be eager to end her life, switching off Tafida’s life support. The doctors alleged that it was the best option for her!
Her parents Shelina and Mohammed won’t surrender to this terrible outcome and want to bring their daughter to Genoa, Italy, where a medical team is willing to treat Tafida.
It’s a great hope for Tafida, but next Monday, September 9, the UK High Court must decide if her parents can bring her out of the country or if, on the contrary, the decision of the Royal London Hospital to end her life has to be executed.
Tafida needs our help now.
We want to help Tafida’s parents to pay for the legal expenses and medical care... and we also to raise awareness and keep on putting pressure on the decision-makers (the High Court judges) with our global campaign, so that Tafida will be able to leave the UK and not give up hope. Please, send your contribution now:
Tafida is being described as ‘terminally ill’ by the hospital and all of the mainstream media, but this is not the case. This little girl had a critical brain bleed following a rupture of some tangled vessels which will not re-occur as the crisis is over.
One brain specialist consulted by the family said that what Tafida needs is time, as it could take up to a year for some of the connections in the brain to re-establish. It is hoped that with the correct treatment Tafida can be moved into a chair, where she can be taken out and about and given rehabilitative therapy.
A five-day hearing will take place at the High Court in London on September 9 to decide whether to release Tafida for treatment or to end her life.
We have not so much time to do our best to save Tafida. And we need your help for this, John.
With your donation of 4€ or more, you will help to:
- Directly help Tafida’s parents to afford medical and legal expenses. Their legal costs are running into tens of thousands of Pounds. Should they succeed in their High Court appeal, they will also need to find an additional $24,000 to pay for Tafida to be airlifted to Italy and about $240,436 to cover the costs of on-going life sustaining treatment.
- Massively spreading our online campaign, maximizing the claims for justice and hope to be sent to the Royal London Hospital and to the High Court of London during this decisive hearing. It would include Facebook and other social media ads and other online actions.
- Organize offline events like vigils, signature deliveries and stunts, trying to get the attention of the media and so to increase the pressure, the impact and the effectiveness of our campaign.
- Run newspaper ads in the United Kingdom, to increase the awareness and the attention of the British citizens towards the case and increasing the possibility of winning the appeal and saving Tafida.
Tafida is not the first case of a sick child who is condemned by the culture of death oriented leftist elites. Charlie Gard and Alfie Evans suffered the same death sentence. They all deserve our involvement, yours and mine, to actively stand in the global cultural battle in favor of life, human dignity and parents rights.
If you can, please, help now! Please, remember that the hearings at the UK High Court start next Monday, September 9:
It’s very urgent: we need to raise the funds necessary to launch our campaign before the outcome of the hearings (next Monday, September 9), to help Tafida’s parents affording the huge necessary legal expenses and to boost our global mobilization campaign to help save her.
I count on your help because, as always, we cannot do anything without you.
We do amazing things when our movement acts together… so let’s do it again for Tafida!
In hope and determination,
Ignacio Arsuaga and the entire CitizenGO team
P.S. As I already explained to you, the hearings beginning date is fixed for September 9 and they are expected to last 5 days. So if you are thinking on sending your donation to help Tafida, please do it now (if you can).
Please consider to forward this email to some friends of you who may not know Tafida’s case: thanks to you, they may know about it and decide to help as well.
