This race is not over yet.
Our general election is officially underway, and our team is still hard at work organizing to make sure we hold this seat and flip the Senate and White House. That also means there are still some fundraising goals that we need to hit.
Last week, our vision for a bold, progressive agenda won — and by double digits. It’s a clear mandate that working people are demanding more from our government.
In this crisis moment, our ideas can help us rebuild a more just and equitable country. But it won’t happen all on its own. We have to fight for it.
So that’s what we’re going to do for the next eight weeks. We built a grassroots organizing machine unlike anything that had ever been done before, and now, we’re going to use our movement’s power to make sure we win not just in Massachusetts — but across the country.
There can be no Green New Deal so long as Mitch McConnell is majority leader and Donald Trump is in the White House.
But we need grassroots support to pull this off. So I’m asking you to be a part of this:
Our win put Washington on notice, and we can be sure our opponents are preparing to spend more than ever to try to stop us.
But I believe in this movement’s power. There are more of us, and if we continue to fight together, then we will win. We will put an end to incrementalism, pass the Green New Deal, and secure justice for all.
In solidarity,
Ed Markey
