Dear Supporter,
How do you feel about thousands of your tax dollars going to fly chefs around the world to cook at Canadian embassies?
How about $51,000 on a red carpet gala in Toronto so Bryan Adams could show off some photographs?
Or maybe $8,800 for a sex toy exhibit in Germany?
These are all real things that actually happened with your tax dollars.(You can read more about the details HERE, or watch a video about some of the waste HERE)
They’re all part of a slush fund set up by the Trudeau government called the Mission Cultural Fund. The purpose, in theory is to “leverage Canadian cultural initiatives.”
It’s bad enough they’re wasting money on these kinds of events, but the worst part is they aren’t even sticking to their own budgets: over the last 3 years, they’ve managed to spend a total of $6 million more than their annual $1.75 million budget!
This needs to stop – right away.
Can you take three minutes to sign our petition calling on the Trudeau government to abolish the Mission Cultural Fund?
You can sign it here: https://www.taxpayer.com/petitions/abolish-the-mission-cultural-fund
We’re committed to keeping the heat on the federal government and shining the light on waste anywhere we can find it!
Thanks for everything you do,
- Aaron, Todd, Shannon and the entire CTF team
