Garlin Gilchrist is the Democratic candidate for Michigan Secretary of State. His MAGA opponent, Anthony Forlini, has the entire Republican machine lined up behind him. Garlin refuses corporate PAC money, so his campaign runs entirely on grassroots donations.

Garlin has to raise $9,136 more by his mid-month deadline in 2 days to keep this race competitive. Today doesn't count — so what does he need to raise daily to get there?

For the record, they nailed it on the first attempt: their dad is on the hook for $4,568 a day.

I wish I could tell you that number was made up for the homework. It isn't.

That’s exactly the amount we need to stay competitive against my opponent. Forlini built an entire career on election conspiracy theories, and handing him this office means Michigan's elections answer to Donald Trump. The latest polling shows a DEAD HEAT, and we can’t afford any room for error if we want to pull ahead.
