Mike Lawler has faced Democratic politicians before, John.

But he’s never faced someone like me.

He and I are about the same age. We both grew up in the Hudson Valley. And for the last twenty years, while he’s been a political operative finding every way possible to profit off of democracy, I’ve been leading America’s sons and daughters in defense of it.

I went to West Point after 9/11. I spent 16 years in the Army, deployed six times overseas, and served as Director for Counterterrorism at the White House.

My life has been about service to our country and to our community.

And it is very clear that this administration, and the cowards like Mike Lawler who enable it, do not care about our country or share our values – or the values of the generations of Americans who fought and sacrificed to make this country better.

That’s why I’m running for Congress.

NY-17 is going to be the most expensive and competitive battleground district in the entire country, but it’s one that we have to win if we’re going to take back the House. We’re counting on your support to make sure we have the resources to make that happen.
