Democrat,
Yesterday, shocking revelations were made public in the form of audio recordings [[link removed]] of President Donald Trump from the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite maintaining a public posture of downplaying the threat of the virus during those crucial months, the recordings prove that not only did Trump know how deadly the virus was, he withheld that information from the rest of us.
Let that sink in. None of us knew how truly life changing this pandemic would be in February. But President Trump did, and he chose not to tell us. Now 190,000 Americans have died due to the virus and over 6 million of us have been infected. Donald Trump could have acted to protect us, but he didn’t.
Governor Murphy has handled this crisis in the exact opposite way of President Trump. He has been honest with the people of our state, sharing the truth, science and data no matter if it was good news or bad news. He didn’t sugarcoat the problems our state was facing, not even during the height of the pandemic in April when cases were skyrocketing. And he did that all without the benefit of the full knowledge of the situation that President Trump knowingly withheld from the American people.
In a CNN interview, Governor Murphy said that if he had known what President Trump knew in February [[link removed]] , he would have imposed emergency lockdown orders, mask mandates and other protective measures much sooner, and that this would have saved lives.

President Trump’s callous indifference to the suffering that his refusal to tell the truth has caused throughout this crisis is just staggering. He had an opportunity to rise to the occasion and be the leader we needed, but he failed miserably.
Trump can’t be allowed to continue as President, but he’s not going anywhere without a fight. We need your help to support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, as well as Democrats up and down the ballot who will stand with them. Donate what you can today to defeat Trump once and for all. [[link removed]]
