Vertex Announces Positive Study Results for Trikafta in Children Ages 6 to 11 

Vertex announced positive Phase 3 clinical trial data for Trikafta in children ages 6 through 11 years old with cystic fibrosis who either have two copies of the F508del mutation or one copy of the F508del mutation and one minimal function mutation. Based on these results, Vertex plans to submit a supplemental New Drug Application to the FDA in the fourth quarter of 2020.

Vertex Asks FDA to Expand CFTR Modulators to Additional Mutations

Vertex has submitted three supplemental New Drug Applications to the FDA to expand eligibility for Trikafta, Symdeko, and Kalydeco to additional rare CFTR mutations. If the applications are approved, Vertex estimates more than 600 individuals who were not previously eligible for CFTR modulators could gain access.
