Friend,

Demand climate be central to the presidential debates

Right now, people across the American West are breathing in the smoke of wildfires of unprecedented size and fury. Thousands are leaving their homes in search of air that's safe to breathe. Meanwhile, folks in Louisiana are rebuilding from Hurricane Laura, one of the strongest storms ever to hit the United States.

No matter where you live, it's becoming clearer by the day that climate change is not a chart or a graph, nor is it a vision of some far-off future. It's happening right here, right now -- and we need to start talking about bold solutions on the national stage immediately.

All eyes will be on the debates this fall, so we're asking the debate moderators to take this threat -- already at our doorstep -- seriously as they put together their questions.

Sign our petition to call on moderators Chris Wallace, Susan Page, Steve Scully, and Kristen Welker to question the candidates on their climate plans during this fall's presidential and vice presidential debates.
