What would you do if you had an extra $150,000 sitting around?

Pay off the mortgage? Put it into your kids’ college funds? Or apparently, you could use it to try and buy yourself a seat in Congress.

That was my opponent’s first thought: Dropping $150,000 of her own money into this race… all to become one of Donald Trump’s personal rubber stamps.

As a dad to three, let’s just say there isn’t a lot of room in the family budget for $150K expenses. But honestly? I’m glad there isn’t any room.

Because I’d rather build this campaign the way Orange County deserves it to be built: By thousands of folks who believe in this campaign and what we’re building together.

No bottomless bank accounts. No “fundraising looks slow this month, I’ll just throw another $150K at it.”

Just people like you and me who believe our district deserve better — and are willing to pitch in to make it happen.
