I’ll get right to it.

Over Labor Day weekend, for the first time in a few months, our fundraising slowed down. I’m writing to respectfully ask you to make a contribution to my campaign today to help us get back on track. [[link removed]]

You know I don’t like asking. If it were up to me, this election would be decided by the strength of a candidate’s ideas and their vision for the future of our state, not by how much money they’re able to raise.

But it’s got to be done. As things stand right now, Tommy Tuberville still has about a three-to-one fundraising advantage against us. Over the last few months, we’ve been rapidly catching up, thanks to thousands of wonderful grassroots supporters who share our vision for Alabama, but with only 51 days left until Election Day, we’re running out of time to close the gap.

If we do not get out of this slump with support from folks like you, we leave the outcome of this election to billionaires and powerful special interests who will spend whatever it takes.

We have seen where that leads in Alabama: leaders who stop listening, a political system that locks ordinary people out, and a government that answers to the wealthy and well-connected instead of the people it is supposed to serve.
