Friend, we are running out of time to turn this seat around, and hardworking families in Florida cannot afford another two years of Anna Paulina Luna. I’m going to ask for your support in hitting our mid-month goal, but first I wanted to tell you about how I got here:

I grew up in a family that knew what it meant to stretch every dollar. My dad fought to keep his small business alive, and my mom counted out food stamps at the grocery store when times were hardest. I saw early what struggle looks like, and I learned that responsibility, discipline, and grit are not abstract ideas. They are what keep a family moving forward.

I started working young, from babysitting to lifeguarding to McDonald’s, and later I put myself through college by working two jobs. Those years taught me that hard work should open doors, not close them. That lesson stayed with me when I joined Army ROTC at Elon University. I found a calling in service, leadership, and the responsibility to do the hard things when they matter most.

I went on to serve 30 years in uniform. I rose through the ranks and served as a commander, leading soldiers from different backgrounds and learning how to bring people together around a mission bigger than themselves. In the Reserve, I was on duty near the Pentagon on September 11th, just three months after having a baby. My career in service taught me that duty does not wait for convenience.

After 2003, I returned to active duty for additional tours, including a tour in Iraq. The Army taught me how to make decisions under pressure, how to solve problems, and how to put service over self even when the stakes were high.

Today, I am retired as a brigadier general, but I have never stopped serving. My husband, our daughter, and I have called the Tampa Bay area home for more than 20 years, and we raised our daughter here. After the Army, I carried that same service over self mindset into business leadership, the State Department, and veteran advocacy. I have seen what strong leadership can do, and I have seen the damage caused when politicians choose chaos over results.

Pinellas and Pasco families are facing rising costs, shrinking opportunity, and a Congress made worse by Anna Paulina Luna’s extremism and dysfunction.
