This week, Donald Trump went on stage at the Republican midterm convention and promised to send every American a $5000 dividend check—but only if Republicans win both the House and the Senate in November.
Of course, Americans would never receive these checks. Add up the supposed $5,000 “DOGE checks,” the promised $2,000 tariff rebates, the proposed $1,000 to $1,500 health care rebates, and this latest $5,000 “Trump dividend,” and Donald Trump has dangled as much as $13,500 before Americans. Not a single one of those payments has gone out.
This is a blatant attempt to tip the midterm elections in his favor, and we cannot let it stand. From gerrymandering dozens of congressional districts, to undermining vote by mail, Trump has shown that he’s willing to break any rule in the book just to hold on to power.
