Poll after poll shows us either within the margin of error or narrowly ahead of Thom Tillis. Even Washington Republicans think it’ll be tough for them to hold on to this crucial Senate seat — even saying in a memo this week that "North Carolina will be a knife fight in a phone booth." Yikes!

But Mitch McConnell and his ilk are plotting ways to defeat us, including flooding the airwaves with a smear campaign against Cal. We have to fight back against these false attacks quickly.

Democrats can’t take back the Senate without winning here in North Carolina. Plain and simple. That's why McConnell is willing to do and spend whatever it takes to defeat us. He’s terrified of losing his majority, because he knows North Carolinians are tired of Thom Tillis’ lousy leadership and broken promises.
