It’s bad enough that Trump and his jackass followers try to pass off all kinds of bullshit as “history.” But now Trump wants the Smithsonian—the crown jewel of America’s museums—to let him dictate how it tells history as well.
“In late Friday night social media posts, President Donald Trump called on the Smithsonian to install a colossal statue of George Washington outside the National Museum of American History and a special exhibit honoring the nation’s first president...”
Yes, because there’s apparently nothing in WASHINGTON, D.C. that already honors George Washington.
Now, maybe you’re thinking, “Washington? Well, that seems okay—”

“Trump asked the institution to install the 11-foot statue of Washington featured at the recent Freedom 250 IndyCar race in the museum’s Flag Hall.”
This isn’t really a monument to Washington. It’s a monument to Trump’s moronic car race.
And there’s this:
“He also wanted a 30-foot statue of Washington to replace the current ‘Infinity’ sculpture by New York artist José de Rivera, commissioned by the federal government and installed in 1967.”
So the village idiot doesn’t like a work of art that’s been there for nearly 60 years, and now he gets to start swapping things around and adding more Washington statues as if they were cowbell?
This is not his ****ing job.
He may be president, but that doesn’t give him unlimited power to move and remove things from the Smithsonian whenever he’s bored—or whenever he wants to distract us from war, inflation, recession and all the other shitstorms he’s unleashed.
What’s next? Does he get to take Jefferson off Mount Rushmore and replace him with the crazy pillow guy? Does he get to put Natalie’s head on the Statue of Liberty?
