Chaz here. I wanted to reach out about why September is so important to our campaign.
At the end of this month, we hit our final FEC fundraising deadline before Election Day. It's important, and we've got to get it just right.

I want to be upfront with you about why this one matters so much. This is not just an internal goal. It is a real, legal filing deadline, and when our numbers post, everyone will be looking at them. Our opponent's team will be rummaging through our filings, line by line, measuring the strength of this campaign and taking careful note of how many donors stand behind it.
A strong donor count tells them, and every reporter and operative watching this race, that TN-05 is fully in play and this campaign is not slowing down with two months left to go.
New polling has us four points back, 45 to 49. That gap closes with a campaign that demonstrates real strength, as shown in our FEC report. We have between now and September 30th to build that number, and I wanted you to know it is coming.
