Hi, it's Gina.

The future of public education for 5.5 million Texas children is on the
ballot this November.

For over a decade, Greg Abbott and his appointed Texas Education Agency
Commissioner, Mike Morath, have starved our public schools, pushed
standardized testing, and funneled taxpayer dollars into private school
vouchers.

Right now, 70% of voucher funds are going to families already in private
school or homeschooling.

As a former school board president and public school mom, I will fire Mike
Morath on Day 1 and replace him with a career classroom teacher.

I will end private school vouchers, eliminate high-stakes STAAR testing,
stop state takeovers of local school boards, and redirect wasteful vendor
spending straight into teacher paychecks.

Public education is the foundation of Texas's future, and we can’t let
Greg Abbott continue to dismantle it.
