I’m reaching out with an urgent update for you, team: We’re suing Donald Trump.

Last month, the Supreme Court allowed Trump’s attack on mail-in voting to go forward. Trump is doing everything he can to rig the midterms because D.C. Republicans know their policies are deeply unpopular and hurting millions of Americans every day.

But we won’t let them get away with it.
|
|
In America, the law is clear: States have the authority to run elections – not the president. I speak for all Democratic governors when I say that we refuse to stand by while Trump and D.C. Republicans try to inject chaos and confusion into our elections. We’ll continue fighting back every day until this executive order, and all of his other attempts to undermine our free and fair elections, are completely thrown out.

As a second-term governor, Andy Beshear has a long record of accomplishments. He restored voting rights to nearly 200,000 Kentuckians, secured low-cost health care for tens of thousands, had the first-, second-, third- and fifth-biggest years for economic development, and had the lowest unemployment rate in state history. He won his first election for governor by just 5,136 votes and his second by 5 percentage points because Kentuckians and folks across the country know that he will work every day to make Americans’ lives better – from jobs to infrastructure, health care, public education, and so much more.
Now, as our DGA Chair in 2026, he will continue to fight for progress by electing Democratic governors across the country.
