In just 24 hours, Reform UK has received £72 million from two crypto billionaires. It’s an eye-watering sum and the biggest ever donation in UK electoral history.
It’s enough to make us all feel like giving up.
But John, money can’t buy you everything. It can’t buy you credibility. It can’t wash away scandals or seeds of doubt in voters’ minds. Scandals of racism, misogyny and even, in the case of Nathan Gill, acting as a Russian asset in exchange for cash.
And crucially, it can't buy the one thing that we already have – a movement of people willing to step up and take action to counteract their big money donors.

Last month, our polling revealed that 60% of voters think Nigel Farage is sleazy. That's why he's gone cap in hand to beg for millions from people prosecuted for financial crimes – because voters are starting to see through him. He's desperate, but he's not done. And in places like Staffordshire we’ve toppled not one but two leaders of the Reform-led Council.
But John, Reform are hoping we’re spread too thin. They’re hoping we’re too tired. They are hoping we are disillusioned.
